Logging is a City skill which can be learned at the university. This skill increases wood production at the timber mill. At every level, wood production is increased by 2%. The maximum boost at level 20 would be 40%. The boost can go up to 60% at level 30, although a level 30 university can only be built in a Shang famous city.

For the Growth task Lumber, the wood production is based on the basic yield, and not the actual output per hour. The bonus provided by the skill can be checked at the Palace interface under the term "Skill bonus". The basic yield can be found under the term "Basic yield".

To boost the wood production further, players may use production items such as Steel Axe and Gold Axe.
