Food is the essential resource that permits your city to grow and helps to support your soldiers. Without food, your soldiers will starve and the defences of your city will weaken. Food is produced by croplands, which are the fastest to build of all the resource production facilities.

Croplands are required for the Till the land, Cornucopia and Logistics tasks.
