What are Jcredits?? The article doesn't say and they are not mentioned anywhere on the wiki. Evil Yanks talk 09:59, January 19, 2010 (UTC)

They are micro-transaction points I think. It's been confirmed that there will be micro-transactions. We'll see if this are those J credits today, when the game is launched. --Fire Slyzer 10:05, January 19, 2010 (UTC)
They're basically RWT, only it's legal and cuts out the gold-farming middle-man since Jagex can instantly generate the purchased items. --MarkGyver 17:31, February 11, 2010 (UTC)
No it isn't. http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv341/Rwojy/scoot4.pngcoot 17:43, February 11, 2010 (UTC)
Your reference is only to a JMod locking a thread saying that the player was wrong and pointing to another thread, claiming it properly addresses the issue, which it doesn't. Jagex never said that RWT had to be third-party before they released WoL. In fact, they previously talked about why they would not add an item shop to RS as if it was exactly the same reason as why they're against third-party RWT. They're only saying first-party RWT isn't RWT now because they've been called out on their hypocrisy. The best argument I can think of for it not being RWT is that Jagex originated the term and can redefine it however they want. --MarkGyver 20:32, February 11, 2010 (UTC)
Real world trading is a term that can only be tied to runescape. The JCredits are a sort of "membership" in this type of game. Jagex never said that them selling items for money is considered real world trading or not. I quote them: "We want RuneScape to be a game where everyone has the same chance regardless of their wealth in real-life. This is also the reason we don't sell RuneScape items for cash on our own website." This is a completely different developer and their view on the matter, Jagex is just the middleman, so they can do whatever they want. Jagex didn't choose to "do RWT" it is all UltiZen. http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv341/Rwojy/scoot4.pngcoot 00:41, February 12, 2010 (UTC)

(indentation reset) When Jagex chose to be the publisher and help advance WoL, they effectively agreed to put their great name on the game including its RWT aspects. Also, they seem to have bigger plans for this. Otherwise, they'd call them something like "Legend Coins" or something else WoL-specific instead of JCredits, with the J almost certainly standing for "Jagex". --MarkGyver 05:51, February 18, 2010 (UTC)
